History Unidex B.V. (UNIted Dutch EXporters) was founded by Roland Janssen in 1989. The company originally concentrated on the import, export and trading of mainly dry beans and legume crops, meals, and a number of packaged – usually exotic – foodstuffs usually sold to ethnic communities in Europe.
Company philosophy Beside the quality of our products, Unidex also attaches great importance to the quality of our operational processes. We are accordingly proud to report that we have been granted ISO 22000 certification (including HACCP, IFS and BRC) for our operating methods (Lloyds Register) The products imported and traded by Unidex are brands of worldwide acclaim, without exception. Unidex is an exclusive distributor of brands including Nestlé, Connors Bros. Pepsico Ltd. Jamaica, Ecofrut s.a. Ecuador, Royal Unibrew , Connell Bros. Thailand, Corex Srl. Italië, H.J. Heinz, Unilever N.V., Kawasho Foods Japan, De Franceschi spa Monfalcone, Foods International, C.a. Promesa and Homhual Food Ind. Co. Thailand. Unidex supplies European wholesalers, trading companies, cash & carries and supermarkets across the whole of Europe with a commercially successful range of foodstuffs. Anno 2007 In the course of the years, the range supplied by Unidex has grown to include some 400 different articles (only non-perishable foodstuffs) With the European consumer becoming increasingly multicultural, sales of our products have increasingly shifted from traditional mom & pop shops to ordinary retail channels. Legume crops are traded as ever (in bulk and in small packs), while a wide variety of other products has been included in the range to meet the demands of many a world citizen. On 1 January 2007 Unidex also opened an establishment of its own in England. The UK arm is concentrating on the marketing and sale of products including D&G soft drinks, Tropical Gourmet Plantain Chips and Geisha and Morjon tinned fish.
